# Content Insight

**Invariant Content Insight** provides businesses the ability to quickly search and analyze unstructured and electronic content stored in document stores, case management systems and business applications. Historically, Enterprises tend to store documents and notes in multiple locations and applications, each one acting as a silo. With Content Insight, you get the ability to federate search and find content spread across all these subsystems.&#x20;

Content Insight text extraction engine, can detect and collect information from most common document formats such as Word documents, Excel files and PDFs. Once the data is indexed, it is made available for search as well for other analytical purposes.

A published set of web services provide an easy integration mechanism for other applications and GUI tools to query the data. A standard message subscription interface supports continuous document ingestion mechanism to manage documents within the index store, allowing it to store, search, and analyze large volumes of data efficiently in near real time.

Content Insight provides an ideal extract and search engine to power applications that use a document store and have complex search requirements.
